Flying High

This is "Spellbinders Flying High Etched Dies".

I have to say, I love this card and you know it has everything to do with the bird! Such a beautiful die with all the accessory items.

It has been awhile since I have used coloured paper to put together a card. One of the reasons is that is is very time consuming. But I had a friend here crafting with me today, so we decided it was time to use coloured cardstock.

The card base is a palish blue and the bird is Turquoise to give you an idea of the colourings in case you do not have a monitor similar to mine.

The leaves are die cut using two different greens, the birds crest is yellowish, the flowers are in the blue tones as are the over feathers on the bird.

I made the flowers orange, and his cheek bit is pink, So all in all, he is a colourful bird to say the least. You can hardly see the feet, but they are black.

Because there is a lot to look at on the cover of the card, I kept the inside showing just the sentiment, not adding anything further.
