Hedgie Luv

Let me introduce you to Hedgie Luv.

I have done this card for the Inspiration challenge at Splitcoastsampers.com. For my inspiration I picked this and this.
For my colour today I stamped using VersaFine Clair ink in Pinecone.

I then put down some of the gold Kuretake Gem watercolour and mixed it with gathered twigs distress ink to paint the body of the hedgie then added more of the gold gem colour to paint the quills.
For the flower I used the pink and red gem colours, and made another puddle on my desk top which I dragged the heart circle die through and set everything aside to dry.

For my background I decided to use the XO Mask from A Colorful Life Design. I used a Ranger Ink blending tool along with a domed foam pad to pick up the pink and red gem paint colours, pouncing the colour over the stencil to apply.
Once the card base was dry I added the hearts circle die using foam squares, then attached the hedgie also with foam squares. I water coloured a couple of the hearts from the die cut and attached to the card.

To finish up I added splatters of gold and red gem colours and stamped the sentiment using the Pinecone ink.

This was great fun to make, and I hope you enjoy it as well.
